Senator Christopher “Bong” Go reiterated his commitment to advancing job creation and food security — two key priorities he’s championed throughout his legislative career. He emphasized the urgent need to support Filipino workers and farmers with concrete, long-term solutions.
“If we truly want to improve the lives of every Filipino family, we need to focus on jobs and food. These are realities that our fellow countrymen face every day,” Go said, highlighting the importance of economic stability in the daily lives of Filipinos.
Go has been proactive in filing and supporting several measures aimed at improving the lives of workers and agricultural communities — sectors he considers the backbone of the nation.
One of his key proposals, Senate Bill No. 2534, which he co-authored and co-sponsored, aims to increase the daily wage of private sector workers by P100. Go explained that this measure seeks to help ease the financial burden caused by inflation and improve the purchasing power of ordinary workers.
“There are still many workers struggling to make ends meet. We need to help them — they’re the pillars of our economy,” he added.
