Anti-drug operatives of the Northern Police District arrested seven individuals in simultaneous operations conducted Thursday and Friday in Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela cities.
In Caloocan City, four suspects were apprehended by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit under Police Lieutenant Restie Mables in a buy-bust operation early Friday morning in Barangay 18.
The arrested were identified by their aliases “Kosa,” “Bekbek,” “Malou,” and “Cris.” Mables said Kosa and Bekbek are siblings, while Malou and Cris are live-in partners from Tondo, Manila.
Caloocan City police recovered an estimated 50 grams of suspected shabu contained in five small plastic sachets.
“It was found out that Kosa, the target of our operation, dispenses his supply of illegal drugs to his sister, Bekbek,” Mables said, adding that the live-in partners were the main source of the drugs. The suspects allegedly supply illegal drugs within South Caloocan.
In Malabon City, a suspected high-value individual known as “Mimay,” a resident of Barangay Maysilo, was arrested in Dulong Roque, Barangay Tonsuya.
Malabon City Police Chief Colonel Jay Baybayan said 30.4 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P206,000, were recovered. Baybayan noted that the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations would continue until Saturday.
