The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has appointed former Aboitiz InfraCapital, Inc. executive Atty. Christina Faye Condez-de Sagon as Undersecretary and Chief of Staff to Secretary Henry Aguda.

Condez-de Sagon was previously the assistant vice president for External Affairs at Aboitiz InfraCapital and a member of the Private Sector Advisory Council-Digital Infrastructure Secretariat.

Aguda said on Wednesday that Condez-de Sagon will prioritize “focus, speed, and seamless coordination” to drive the agency’s digital programs.

“Her leadership will be crucial in our efforts to drive a digital-first economy, enhanced cybersecurity, inclusive tech for all, and transparent governance,” Aguda said.

Condez-de Sagon has also worked on ICT legislation and policy in various government agencies, including the Governance Commission for GOCCs, the Philippine Competition Commission, the House of Representatives, and the Senate.

“I am humbled by the trust placed in me by President Marcos and look forward to working with Secretary Aguda, the DICT team, and sectoral partners to advance a secure, inclusive, and transparent digital economy. We will help Sec. Henry in making Digital Bayanihan a reality for all Filipinos.”
