Former Mayor Isko Moreno expressed his full support for reelectionist Senator Bong Go during a gathering of Manila leaders on Tuesday night.
Senator Go, known as “Mr. Malasakit,” was invited to attend the rally held in Paco, Manila. He thanked the city’s leaders for their warm welcome and expressed his gratitude to the people of Manila for their continued support and love — not just for him, but also for former President Rodrigo Duterte.
Go emphasized that his priority remains pushing for laws and programs that bring government services closer to the people, especially in the area of healthcare.
Earlier, Go returned to Valenzuela, reinforcing his promise to bring government services closer to the people.
“Rain or shine, we’re here. Nothing will stop us from visiting our fellow Filipinos,” Go told residents during a visit to city hall.
Go made it clear that his visit wasn’t about politics, but about friendship and service — especially in healthcare.
“This isn’t about politics. I’m your friend here in Valenzuela,” he said.
He highlighted the city’s two Malasakit Centers — located at Valenzuela Medical Center and Valenzuela City Emergency Hospital — which were established with his support.
These one-stop shops streamline medical assistance from various government agencies. Go, the principal author of the Malasakit Centers Act, noted that over 17 million Filipinos have benefited from 167 such centers nationwide.
“You’re lucky to have two Malasakit Centers. Thank you to your local leaders for maintaining them,” he said.
As Senate Committee on Health chair, Go stressed that expanding healthcare access remains his top priority.
