The Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) announced Tuesday that over 216,000 job vacancies, both local and overseas, will be available at 69 job fair sites across the country on 1 May in commemoration of Labor Day.
According to DoLE, 2,281 employers will be participating in the nationwide job fairs and major companies such as SM, Robinsons, San Miguel Foods, Aboitiz, Toyota, Honda, Accenture, Epson and Banco de Oro (BDO) are among those offering various positions.
Jobseekers attending the main job fair at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City can apply for openings from prominent companies including Union Bank of the Philippines, Meralco, DMCI Construction Company, 2Go Group and McDonald’s.
Other notable companies joining this year’s job fairs include Globe, LBC Express, Asia Brewery Inc., Puregold and various legitimate human resource agencies nationwide.
Interested applicants can contact their nearest Public Employment Services Office or DoLE regional or field offices for a complete list of venues, participating employers and available job roles.
The top five regions with the highest number of job offers are the National Capital Region with over 63,000, Central Luzon with approximately 32,000, Calabarzon with over 18,000, Western Visayas with nearly 18,000, and the Zamboanga Peninsula with more than 13,000 opportunities.
Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma stated that this collaborative effort with the private sector to bring numerous local and overseas job opportunities directly to Filipino jobseekers underscores the DoLE’s “dedication to connecting available talent with opportunities in the labor market.”
