GMA Artist Management arm, Sparkle, released a statement defending Kyline Alcantara following malicious reports about her.

This came after reports surfaced that Alcantara had broken up with basketball star Kobe Paras after being together for less than a year.

In the statement, Sparkle said that Alcantara wishes to move on from the issue and has chosen to keep her peace and maintain respect for the people who have been part of her life.

“Kyline would like to move on from this issue. She has chosen to keep her peace and maintain respect for the people who have been part of her life. She hopes we can all move on and put this issue to rest,” the statement read.

Just a few days ago, Paras’ mother, Jackie Forster, confirmed in a nearly 15-minute-long video that her son and Alcantara had indeed broken up. She revealed that while their family initially wanted to remain silent on the issue, she could no longer allow such "accusations" to continue spreading.

Forster claimed that Alcantara's team instructed Benjie Paras to tell the public that Kyline and Kobe were still together. She added that the former couple couldn’t confirm their split immediately because of contractual obligations tied to their brand deals.

She also revealed that the relationship between Alcantara and her son began to fall apart in January, following their trip to Los Angeles. According to her, Kobe "wanted to try to get past" the rough patch but ultimately chose to leave Alcantara when things became "unforgivable."

"We are Kobe’s family, but out of respect, we still tried to be there for her—to help console her, to listen, and to be understanding," Forster said.

According to her, Alcantara remained in touch with their family until the day before Easter and was trying to convince Kobe to apologize so they could reconcile.

Forster also accused Kyline’s camp of spreading false narratives on social media that painted Kobe in a negative light after the breakup.

"I’m confused as to why Kyline and the people on her side are allowing Kobe to look like he’s a cheater," she said, noting that Kyline "just wants to keep quiet to protect her own peace."

Forster added that while people might judge Kobe for moving on quickly, she believes "that’s better than loving someone while pretending to be somebody they’re not."

Toward the end of the video, Forster shared that several people had warned her about Alcantara—and she now regrets not listening.

"I defended you, Kyline," she said. "I regret not listening to those warnings."
