Foreign interference has no place in polls, says admin bets

The Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas on Friday issued a strong statement affirming its solidarity with the Filipino people amid growing concerns about foreign interference.

"Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas stands firmly with the Filipino people. Our future must be determined by us alone," said Navotas City Representative Toby Tiangco, campaign manager for the alliance.

The declaration follows recent disclosures from top national security officials regarding alleged efforts by a foreign power to exert influence.

Intelligence reports have indicated coordinated online disinformation campaigns and undisclosed support.

Alyansa, which includes several figures, described these reports as deeply concerning and requiring vigilance and determination.

"Disclosures by the country’s top security officials on possible foreign interference are truly alarming and concerning," Tiangco said.

Alyansa stressed that the right of Filipinos to make independent choices must not be undermined.

“The right of every Filipino to freely choose -- without manipulation, pressure, or foreign influence -- is non-negotiable,” Tiangco said.

“Any attempt to interfere in that process is a direct violation of our national integrity and must be condemned in the strongest terms,” he added.

Security officials testified during a Senate investigation that a foreign embassy in Manila allegedly contracted a local firm to conduct online propaganda activities.

Tiangco stressed that the issue goes beyond politics and concerns national sovereignty.

“This is not just a political issue. It is a matter of national security,” Alyansa’s campaign manager said ads they urged authorities to take swift action on the matter.

“We urge the proper authorities to investigate these reports with urgency, hold accountable those responsible, and protect the sanctity of our processes,” Tiangco said.
