Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Qatar Airways have formed a new strategic partnership that will see PAL launching daily nonstop flights between Manila and Doha on 16 June 2025, while Qatar Airways codeshares on PAL’s seven weekly services before the frequency ramps up to seven daily.
Under the agreement, PAL’s Airbus A330-300 — featuring 18 flat-bed business seats and 341 in economy — will depart Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 4:50 PM, arriving at Hamad International Airport (DOH) at 11:40 PM. Eastbound services leave Doha at 01:30 AM, touching down in Manila at 14:15 PM.
The tie-up gives Filipino travelers seamless access to over 170 destinations across the Americas, Europe, Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East via Doha. Likewise, passengers from Qatar and beyond can connect effortlessly to PAL’s network.
"As Philippine Airlines grows its global footprint, we are thrilled to establish new partnerships that create new connections and provide our business and leisure travelers with greater flexibility and seamless access when flying to their preferred destinations," stated Captain Stanley K. Ng, President and Chief Operating Officer of Philippine Airlines.
Ng added that their decision to offer daily frequency to Doha is enabled by their exciting strategic partnership with Qatar Airways and will help them stimulate tourism, trade flows, and business growth in the context of the strong bilateral relationship between the Philippines and Qatar. Their vital Overseas Filipino Workers and their families will also greatly benefit from this new partnership.
According to Mr. Thierry Antinori, chief commercial officer of Qatar Airways, the airline is dedicated to finding methods to improve its global connectivity, and its most recent collaboration with Philippine Airlines is evidence of this. Strengthening the socioeconomic bonds between the Filipino and Qatari people is another goal of this strategic partnership. They are excited to provide more advantages to travelers from across the world and are proud of the new codeshare flights.
