Kids and adults can learn bead making at the Beaded Bookmark Workshop on 26 to 27 April at SM Aura’s Book Nook in Taguig City. Aside from having fun doing the craft, they can bond with people who have similar hobby.

While the Book Nook sounds more like a place for reading, SM Aura and SM Podium, which host the spot, give it an interesting twist through activities like workshops. The Book Nook at the SM Podium also hosted a fashion workshop on 3 April.

The Sustainable Summer Fashion Workshop with KC Leyco was an inspiring session filled with creativity, conscious fashion choices, and a shared love for sustainability.

Leyco shared her insights and introduced her book, “Always Be Chic by Miss Kayce” — a must-read for anyone looking to elevate their style with confidence and sustainability in mind, read a post on BookNook’s Facebook page.

In keeping with its mission of nurturing creativity and learning, Book Nook drew more than 250 participants through various activities last month.

At SM Aura, a colorful Arts and Crafts Workshop in partnership with The Crafters Marketplace on 15 March, brought kids’ imagination to life through textures, colors, and hands-on creativity. The space buzzed with energy as young artists proudly shared their unique creations.

On 26 March, Book Nook hosted the book launch of “Ma Rasah: My Self-Trained Home Chef” by Elvira Silla, in partnership with Bookshelf PH. Attended by both food lovers and readers, the event celebrated the launch of a cookbook filled with over 150 recipes for all levels that blend Filipino soul with global flavors.

As a highlight, the author personally signed and donated a copy of her book to the SM Aura Book Nook, encouraging mallgoers to visit, explore, and enjoy her work right from the shelves.

Over at SM Podium, the energy remained high with a Rhinestone Painting Workshop on 22 March. Participants took part in a meditative and fun afternoon of mindful art-making.

Closing the month, Book Nook celebrated National Women’s Month with a special storytelling session on 30 March in partnership with IBBY Philippines. Led by author Bambi Rodriguez, the session highlighted empowering stories from the Super Maya series, inspiring young readers to embrace courage, resilience, and the power of strong female characters.

“Each Book Nook event is a celebration of learning and self-expression. This month showed us how stories, art, and food can bring people together in beautiful and meaningful ways,” said Book Nook pioneer Shereen T. Sy.

In partnership with SM Cares, Book Nook continues to serve as a free, open-access community space for readers and learners of all ages and remains a hub of creativity, inclusivity and imagination.

Book Nook’s success is fueled by communities, partners, and volunteers, proving that literacy and creativity thrive when people come together.
