In its intensified campaign against illegal drugs, the Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit (SPD-DDEU) arrested three drug personalities during a buy-bust operation at around 9:03 p.m. on 18 April 2025, in Barangay 76, Pasay City.
The suspects are considered High-Value Individuals (HVIs) due to the scale of their involvement. They were arrested for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the "Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002."
The operation was conducted by SPD-DDEU in coordination with the District Investigation Division (DID-SPD), Sub-Station 1 of the Pasay City Police Station, and the Pasay Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU).
During the operation, operatives recovered six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu. Also seized were one genuine P1,000 bill (serial number NF146013), twenty-four P1,000 boodle bills, a white Samsung keypad cellphone, and a white KIA Forte sedan. The confiscated drugs had a total estimated weight of 250 grams, with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P1,700,000.
All seized evidence has been turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for laboratory examination. Meanwhile, the police are preparing criminal complaints for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of R.A. 9165, which will be filed before the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office.
SPD Director Police Brigadier General Joseph R. Arguelles lauded the operating teams for their efficiency and coordination.
“This successful operation reflects our unyielding commitment to suppress the illegal drug trade within our jurisdiction. We will continue to pursue these operations with precision, guided by our duty to protect communities and uphold the rule of law,” he said.
