The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) launched its mobile app to provide the public updates on banking policies, financial inclusion and foreign exchange rates. The app also serves as an alternative platform for complaints.
The BSP Mobile App is downloadable from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store for free.
“The BSP app keeps you updated on the latest news, advisories, and important announcements,” the Central Bank said.
The app allows users to build their own menus where they can quickly access their favorites or the BSP services and information they often need.
“You can filter the currencies that matter most to you and view the exchange rates at a glance,” BSP said.
The central bank’s chatbot, named Bob, also works on the app to receive questions or complaints from the public about private banks and other financial firms, fake bills, BSP coin deposit machines, and online banking protection.
“Bob is available anytime, anywhere. You can send screenshots to support your case,” BSP said.
In addition to these, the app also provides digital copies of BSP research, surveys, and economic insights from the BSP Research Academy for students, professionals, and the general public who are curious about the economy and the banking industry.
Individuals interested in enriching their knowledge and skills in banking, economics, and related fields can enroll for training through the app.
Training courses include communications, economics, finance, statistics, data science, information technology and industrial engineering.
App users can also order BSP merchandise and collectibles, such as books, commemorative coins and notes.
