SM Supermalls will temporarily close most of its Metro Manila locations on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday in observance of Holy Week, but several entertainment and activity centers will reopen over the weekend with special events.

According to SM Supermalls, malls across the National Capital Region will be closed on 17 and 18 April. Regular operations are expected to resume on Black Saturday, 19 April.

One exception is SM By The Bay in Pasay City, which will remain open throughout the Holy Week period. Operating hours are set from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, and from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Easter Sunday.

Mall hours outside Metro Manila may vary, and customers are advised to check specific schedules via the SM Mall Hours webpage.

Religious services and community events

Many SM malls will host Easter Sunday Masses, with schedules varying by location. The company is encouraging attendees to check with their preferred branches for exact times.

Among the lineup of Easter activities are a series of themed events including an Easter Egg Hunt, costume contests, and family parades, scheduled at multiple malls nationwide. At SM Mall of Asia, additional events will be held including the Olympus Run Series: Hera Run, a community race open to the public.

Leisure, sports, and travel services

SM Supermalls is also promoting its recreational facilities, including SM Skating rinks, SM Game Park, and Sky Ranch amusement parks in Tagaytay, Pampanga, and Baguio, which will operate over the long weekend.

For travelers using electric vehicles, 123 EV charging stations will be available at 69 SM locations, offering free charging services.

Indoor fitness facilities under the SM Active Hub program, which features basketball courts, pickleball matches, and badminton areas, will also be operational in selected malls.

Pet-friendly activities

Pet owners can join the Summer Pet Olympics at the MOA Paw Park on Easter Sunday at 5 p.m. Activities include obstacle courses and pet contests, with attendance open to the public.

SM Supermalls has hosted a variety of themed holiday events in past years as part of its seasonal programming. While some activities are open-access, others may require pre-registration.
