The Department of Transportation’s Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (DOTr-SAICT) assured passengers of safer and more seamless travel along the EDSA Busway and other road transport terminals for Semana Santa 2025.
In line with the DOTr’s Oplan Biyahe Ayos: Semana Santa 2025, the DOTr-SAICT has deployed enforcers 24/7 in EDSA Busway stations, integrated terminal exchanges and parts of various major highways from April 9 to 23 to ensure the safety of passengers ahead of the expected influx this coming week.
The DOTr-SAICT likewise intensified its efforts to decongest commuter areas, enforce traffic laws, conduct anti-colorum operations, and ensure the roadworthiness of public utility vehicles through rigorous roadside inspections.
Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon, as the Chairperson of the DOTr-SAICT, emphasized that these efforts are part of the agency’s mission to ease the struggles of commuters, especially during the Holy Week.
"Importante sa DOTr na masigurong plantsado ang lahat ng paghahanda para sa Semana Santa para sa ligtas, mabilis at maginhawang biyahe ng mga pasahero. Paraan din ito para mabigyan sila ng mas maraming oras habang sila ay papunta sa kani-kanilang mga probinsya at mga mahal sa buhay," Sec. Dizon said.
The DOTr’s commuter hotline (09209643687) and mobile number (09954336386) remain open to assist commuters during the Holy Week, as well as the DOTr-SAICT’s Facebook page and email address (publicassistance@dotr.gov.ph).
