Veteran actress Lotlot de Leon took to social media to pay tribute to the late Pilita Corrales, Asia’s Queen of Songs, following her recent passing. Known for her powerful voice and timeless elegance, Pilita was also remembered by Lotlot as a woman whose love for her family knew no bounds.

In a touching post, Lotlot described the deep affection Pilita showed her loved ones, especially her children and grandchildren. Pilita Corrales was the mother of Lotlot’s former husband, actor Ramon “Mon” Christopher Gutierrez, and grandmother to Lotlot’s children, including singer Janine Gutierrez.

“She loved her family like there’s no tomorrow,” Lotlot wrote. “She would move heaven and earth just for them—for Ate Jacqui, for VJ, for Mon, and most definitely for her grandchildren.”

Lotlot remembered Pilita as a selfless grandmother, the kind “anyone would wish for,” who would readily give everything she had to those she loved. “If she can just give and gift her family with so much more, she would. Everything that belonged to her, in a heartbeat, she would pass on to those who are precious to her.”

The tribute was filled with gratitude, especially for the love Pilita showed to her grandchildren. “My children are very blessed to have and receive that kind of love. For that, I am truly, truly grateful.”

She ended her message with a soft farewell: “Rest in paradise, Mamita. A million thanks to you.”

Pilita Corrales, beyond her legacy as a musical icon, was known for being a doting matriarch whose love extended far beyond the spotlight.
