Major trade groups, including the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII), and Philippine Exporters Confederation (PhilExport), issued a joint statement condemning the brutal killing of businessman Anson Que and his driver, Armanie Pabillo.
The groups expressed outrage and grief, calling the murders a “grotesque violation of humanity.”
The statement described the killings as not just crimes but an attack on the nation’s soul and a challenge to justice, decency, and peace. The trade groups deplored the “heinous, barbaric kidnapping and brutal murders” of Que and Pabillo, emphasizing the sacredness of both lives.
Que was celebrated as a compassionate entrepreneur and a pillar of philanthropy, whose contributions left a lasting impact. The business groups highlighted his legacy as a testament to the blend of enterprise and compassion.
Similarly, Armanie Pabillo was honored as a dedicated worker, a father, and a son, with the groups urging that his name be remembered alongside Que’s.
