Popular Esports host Mara Aquino has made her way to Honor of Kings just in time to host the upcoming Philippine Kings League on 11 April.
A staple in the professional Mobile Legends scene, Aquino announced earlier this year that she had left her hosting job at Mobile Legends Professional League.
"I’ve come to realize that it’s time for me to step away. This choice was not made lightly, but in my heart, I know it’s the right one," Aquino said in a Facebook post.
"Letting go is never easy, but I believe that growth means allowing ourselves to evolve, even when it’s uncomfortable."
Aquino's exit from MPL fueled speculation within the community, with some saying that she may be headed to Honor of Kings, where former MPL talents have gone as well.
Just a couple of months after Aquino's announcement, Honor of Kings officially confirmed that she has joined the company.
"The queen has arrived. Ang inyong hiling, aming tutuparin," HoK Philippines Esports revealed.
"Join Mara Aquino as she hosts the inaugural season of Philippine Kings League, ang #BagongLigaNgBayan!"
The announcement has drawn positive reactions from the HoK community, with some saying that they had seen the move coming a couple of months ago.
The video announcement has attracted 2,000 reactions and 34,000 views as of this writing.
