President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has yet to publicly comment whether or not his older sister Senator Imee Marcos is still part of the coalition he supports Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas (APBP). According to Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro, what the President said previously was clear and advised to wait in the next rally if he would say his sister’s name. Palace urges Imee to invite more legal experts to Rody’s hearing

Malacañang has suggested that Senator Imee Marcos invite additional experts to provide a broader perspective on the legality of the arrest of former president Rodrigo Duterte during the ongoing Senate hearings.

Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Claire Castro said Tuesday that hearing from just one expert might not offer a comprehensive view of the complex legal issues surrounding Duterte’s arrest.

Castro proposed that inviting multiple experts, particularly those with differing opinions, would help provide a clearer understanding of the legal and international implications.

“It's really better if Senator Imee Marcos doesn’t just hear one viewpoint. She should invite more experts, especially those who frequently provide different opinions, which may offer a fresh perspective aside from Atty. Alex Medina’s,” Castro stated in Filipino. “If we only hear from one expert, the understanding of the issue won’t be balanced, and it might even cause more confusion.”

Castro clarified that this was merely a suggestion and not a directive. She noted that inviting other international law experts could help Senator Marcos gain a more comprehensive understanding of the legalities surrounding the arrest and avoid any potential misunderstandings.
