Former Senator and senatorial candidate Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan took a brief break from his busy campaign schedule in Antipolo City to seek divine blessings and protection during his visit to the International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage.
During his visit, Pangilinan was prayed over by Rev. Fr. Yohann, OMV, and had his vehicle blessed as well.
“As we enter the final five weeks of the campaign and our rounds intensify, we need the guidance and protection of our Lord more than ever,” Pangilinan said.
“We also thank God for His protection when we recently experienced danger during our travel in Quezon,” he added, referring to an incident in which the helicopter he was riding in, en route to Tiaong, was forced to make three emergency landings due to bad weather conditions.
Pangilinan kicked off his campaign week by attending the monthly flag-raising ceremony of the Antipolo City government, where he was warmly welcomed by Mayor Jun Ynares and local government employees.
Afterward, Pangilinan visited the nearby Pasalubong Center, where he engaged with vendors and customers in a meet-and-greet.
The former senator also bought local delicacies, such as kasuy and suman, as pasalubong for his wife, Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
