Ilocos motion: Toyota drives into the north

TDT

Toyota Motor Philippines just added another pin to its dealership map, this time in the north. The company has opened its 74th dealership, Toyota Ilocos Sur, in Candon City — making things a bit easier for drivers in the region who need anything from a new car to parts or repairs.

Set up in Barangay Langlangca II, the new dealership is a full-fledged “3S” facility — short for Sales, Service and Spare Parts. It’s got room for four cars in the showroom and a sizable workshop equipped with 47 service and body repair bays. So whether you’re just window-shopping or already in need of serious car care, the place is built to handle it.

The newly opened Toyota Ilocos Sur dealership in Candon City stands ready to serve customers with its full-service 3S facility.

“To be able to witness our vision coming to life is truly an amazing feeling. This is not just the start of a new business for Toyota; the establishment of this facility is a clear reflection of your hard work and dedication,” Masando Hashimoto, TMP president, said. “As we officially open the doors of this dealership, the store not only will cater to our valued customers but help build community and boost the economy of Ilocos Sur,” he added.

“Today, we celebrate not just the opening of a new dealership but the beginning of a new chapter in Toyota’s commitment to serving the people of Ilocos Sur and beyond,” Rene So, Toyota Dagupan Group president, said. “We reaffirm our mission of delivering happiness to every Filipino through mobility. We look forward to being a trusted partner on your journey, ensuring that every drive is a safe, reliable and enjoyable experience,” he added.

Ilocos Sur is known for its old-world charm, thanks to its Spanish-era architecture and historical sites, especially in places like Vigan. But beyond being a tourist draw, it’s also a growing region with plenty of potential — and this new Toyota dealership is betting on that. With access via the MacArthur Highway and other main roads and the nearest airport just a couple of hours away in Laoag, the location is well-positioned to serve locals and visitors alike.
