Filipino content creator Abi Marquez has been nominated for the 29th Annual Webby Awards in the Creators - Food & Drink category, marking her second consecutive nomination after winning the Webby People’s Voice Award in 2024.

Known as the "Lumpia Queen" to her online audience, Abi has gained international recognition for her engaging food content that highlights Filipino cuisine with accessible and creative recipe videos. This latest nomination brings Filipino culinary traditions into the global spotlight.

She is nominated alongside some of the most prominent names in the digital food space, including Joshua Weissman, Andrew Rea (Binging with Babish), and Olivia Tiedemann.

The Webby Awards, often called the "Oscars of the Internet," celebrate the best in digital content. Out of more than 13,000 entries across multiple categories, only the top 12% are selected as nominees.

Abi is vying for two prestigious honors: the Webby Award, chosen by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), and the Webby People’s Voice Award, which is determined through public voting.

Voting for the People’s Voice Award is open until Thursday, 17 April, at 11:59 p.m. PDT on the Webby Awards website.

Winners will be announced on Tuesday, 22 April, with an exclusive awards ceremony set for Monday, 12 May, in New York City.

In May 2024, Abi became the first Filipina born and raised in the Philippines to win a Webby Award.
