A court in Bacoor has issued an arrest warrant against Archie Alemania in connection with the acts of lasciviousness case filed against him by actress Rita Daniela.
The Bacoor City Muntinlupa Trial Court in Cities Branch 2, in an order dated 18 March, said Alemania may post bail in the amount of P36,000.
“After a careful evaluation of the information, the resolution, investigation data form, the complaint affidavit of the complaining witness and other pertinent documents, the court finds probable cause to hold the accused for trial,” the order stated.
“Considering that the accused is at large, let a warrant of arrest be issued against him,” it added.
Alemania was indicted by Bacoor prosecutors in March after they found prima facie case with reasonable certainty of conviction.
The prosecutors office also recommended that Alemania be penalized under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code.
Daniela alleged in her complaint that Alemania kissed and touched her without consent and repeatedly made inappropriate remarks against her after a Thanksgiving party last September. During the party, Alemania already made obscene remarks towards Daniela.
Alemania last December, submitted a counter-affidavit at the Bacoor Hall of Justice in response to the complaint filed by Daniela. Alemania’s camp declined to give a comment, but the prosecutor said the counter-affidavit denies the allegations Daniela made.
