The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has donated 500 Charitimba food packs to the 4th District of Quezon City in a ceremony at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.
The donation, part of the PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, was received by Local Legislative Staff Officer III (LLSO III) Cecilie E. Ergina on behalf of Councilor Nanette Castelo Daza.
“Each day, we face hardships in our daily lives, which is why we are grateful for this donation from the PCSO, as it helps supplement a family’s daily budget. The savings from these essentials can be used for other important family expenses, such as children's education and purchasing medicines,” said Ergina.
Each Charitimba contains essential food items like rice, canned goods, coffee, and other staples, aimed at supporting underprivileged families, particularly senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and low-income households.
PCSO emphasized its partnership with local and national government bodies, acknowledging their role in delivering aid to vulnerable communities. Through its CSR program, the agency continues its commitment to improving the lives of Filipinos.
