Pampanga’s Most Wanted arrested

MINALIN, Pampanga ­— The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) arrested over the weekend the National Most Wanted Person by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) at Barangay Sta. Rita of this town.

According to the police, suspect Joseph Renzo Galvan y Tongol is considered by the DILG as the National Most Wanted Person for rape. Galvan was arrested in a joint manhunt operation led by the Provincial Intelligence Team-Pampanga of the Regional Intelligence Unit 3, Provincial Intelligence Unit-Pampanga, and Minalin Municipal Police Station (MPS).

The arrest was made by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Robert Alexander Razon Malig, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 45, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, on 15 March, 2021, under Criminal Case No. FC CRIM 4962 for Violation of Article 266-A (Rape). The warrant carried no recommended bail, and Galvan had a P130,000 monetary reward as stipulated in DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2025-026.

The case stemmed from an incident on 25 January 2021, at approximately 12:30 p.m. in Barangay Sta. Maria, Minalin, Pampanga, where Galvan was accused of raping his sister-in-law.

PBGEN Jean Fajardo, regional director of PRO3, commended the operating units for their dedication and collaboration in capturing a high-profile fugitive.
