The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has placed the white BMW vehicle under "police flash alarm" for the arrest of its driver, who fatally struck a 29-year-old call center agent in Quezon City at around 2 AM last Tuesday.

P/Capt. Joan Vela, head of QCPD Traffic Sector 2 (Novaliches), said they have already requested the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to issue a 'show cause order' against the owner of the white BMW (NAG 3535), John Joshua Yap Ng, a resident of Barangay 61 in Caloocan City, to explain why he should not be held responsible for the death of Den Adrian John Viaje, a resident of Barangay Bagbag, whom the suspect fled after hitting.

"Naka alarma na din sasakyan yun, tao na lang po for show cause order," Vela told the DAILY TRIBUNE.

The victim was crossing Quirino Avenue near Pagkabuhay Road in Novaliches when he was hit.

Ng, on the other hand, has refused to admit involvement in the incident and instead sent his lawyers, even as the police and the deceased’s family have filed charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and abandonment.
