If you were anywhere near Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija earlier this March, there’s a good chance you heard the rumble of engines, the crunch of gravel under chunky tires, and a whole lot of excited chatter. That’s because JIMNYFEST 2025 rolled into town — bringing with it 180 Suzuki Jimnys and nearly 500 die-hard fans from across the Philippines.
Hosted by The Jimny Hub and set against the scenic backdrop of The Nest Resort and Campgrounds, the event was a full-blown celebration of everything that makes the Jimny such a beloved little beast.
Things kicked off with an off-road trail challenge at Calabasa River, where drivers got to really put their 4x4s to the test. Palayan City Mayor Vianne Cuevas even dropped by for the grand opening.
During the Jimny Legends Awards Night, Yasuki Nakagawa, assistant to the general manager and Sales Department head, spoke about Suzuki’s connection with the community and the brand’s 50-year journey in the country. “Suzuki is honored to celebrate the Jimny’s adventurous spirit with its passionate community,” he said.
Suzuki also unveiled the Jimny Rhino Edition and some sweet promos for the new Jimny 5-Door.
No Jimny festival would be complete without a few jaw-dropping builds. Awards were handed out for Best Overland Build, Best Engine and Performance, and The Jimny Hub Choice Award. There was even a new Next Gen Award, specifically for the best 5-Door Jimny build.
The weekend also had test drives courtesy of Wheeltek, games and activities for families, and a laid-back camping vibe that made it easy for everyone to feel right at home. They wrapped it all up with a fireworks show.
In the end, JIMNYFEST 2025 was a reminder of how a simple, square-shaped SUV can bring people together. And Suzuki Philippines looks like its community is only getting stronger.
