Businesswoman and philanthropist Sarah Discaya has pledged to transform Pasig into a “smart city” by leveraging modern technologies to streamline the delivery of basic social services and bureaucratic processes, if she wins the mayoral race in the 12 May elections.

“The dream of Ate Sarah and the Team Kaya This is to have a smart city with intelligent leadership,” Discaya told her supporters during the team’s send-off event at the SGC office in Barangay Bambang, Pasig City Friday evening.

Discaya, a successful businesswoman who owns a quadruple-A construction company, noted that she does not make promises which she cannot do.

“Hindi lang salita pero gagawa (Not just words, but action),” said the 48-year-old philanthropist who also runs a charity foundation dedicated to helping the poor and needy through medical missions as well as providing various assistance to the people, most especially her fellow Pasigueños.

Leave non behind

She also appealed to her supporters to vote for the whole slate of Team Kaya This as she cannot do it alone by herself.

(I can’t accomplish all of this without the support of the entire Team Kaya This. Can we count on you to join us in this fight?)” she asked.

A businesswoman who rose from humble beginnings, Discaya emphasized the critical role of employees who serve as an instrument to catapult businesses to greater success, describing them as “wind beneath their wings.”

(Kuya Curlee always tells me that our employees became the wind beneath our wings to help us soar. Could you be the wind beneath the wings of Team Kaya This?)”

She expressed her gratitude to Pasigueños who fully supported them in this quest, likewise urging them to join them in this fight.

(When we were starting, I felt so discouraged about running for this position. I even told Curlee that when I was about to file my certificate of candidacy, I didn’t want to do it. But every time we go down to each medical mission, to every meet and greet, and experience the warm welcome for Team Kaya This, it really pushes me to go for it. Let’s fight for this!)” Discaya added.
