Actress Angelica Panganiban found "the one" in a sweet, unexpected connection with Gregg Homan during a pandemic taping in Subic. In a recent chat with Ryan Bang for his YouTube vlog, Angelica shared how their mutual friend, actress Cherry Pie Picache, played a key role in bringing them together.
While filming, Cherry Pie persistently tried to introduce them. "'May taping kami dun, pandemic. So nung day off namin, kinukulit ako ni Cherry Pie, sabi niya, 'Sige na, papakilala ko na sa'yo,'" Angelica recalled. Though initially hesitant, Angelica agreed, and when they met, she described her initial demeanor as polite and reserved. "'Nung una talaga, parang ano lang ako, nice lang ako. Parang hi, hello, ganun shake hands,'" she said.
Gregg’s thoughtful gestures, like sending food for the cast, soon caught Angelica's attention. "'Pinadalhan niya ako ng food, pati 'yung mga cast nakakain. Ang dami talaga niyang pinadala,'" she remembered. When she learned that he built boats, Angelica was intrigued. "'Gumagawa siya ng mga boat. Parang ang galing naman niya,'" she said.
As they spent more time together, Angelica grew fond of Gregg, appreciating him as a person. "'Hindi ako attracted na parang in love ako agad, may crush ako. Hindi, talagang interesting siya sa akin as a person,'" she explained.
Ultimately, Angelica found peace with Gregg, feeling safe and supported in their relationship. "'Sa kanya, nakahanap talaga ako ng katahimikan. Ang una-una kong naramdaman sa kanya, safe ako... Para kang safe and secured, parang lagi niya akong uunahin,'" she said, reflecting on their deep connection.
