Jowee Anne Aguinaldo’s painting Pinagtapi-tapi won first place at this year’s edition of Sining Filipina.
The piece, made using an oil medium, depicts women working together to sew a colossal and colorful fabric.

Aguinaldo is taking home a cash prize of P250,000 and a custom Sining Filipina plaque.

The artworks of the 52 finalists will be on display at the upper ground atrium of SM Aura from 27 March to 3 April.
Now in its second year, Sining Filipina shines a spotlight on the creativity and vision of Filipino women artists, celebrating their unique contributions to sustainability and the environment. With the theme “Her Earth, Her Future,” the platform aims to empower women in their artistic pursuits and provide them with a space to showcase their work.
This year’s Sining Filipina is presented by SM Supermalls, Zonta Club of Makati and Environs, Chinabank, Airspeed, and Brittany Hotel.
