Tesla provides insight on electric mobility

BALANGA CITY, Bataan — Representatives of Tesla Motors Philippines last Tuesday paid a visit to this capitol city and discussed the latest innovations in electric mobility and sustainable transportation at The Bunker.

The visit aligns wiwth Bataan’s commitment to promoting green energy solutions and sustainable transport.

Leading the discussion are Tesla’s Public Policy and Business Development Head, Ir. Ahmad Hadri Haris, together with Vice Governor Cris Garcia, Public-Private Partnership Investment Center Head, Abdul Khayr Alonto, OIC-Provincial Planning and Development Office Ar. Mc Jefferson Valerio and representatives from SM City Bataan.

Bataan explores opportunities in electric vehicle infrastructure, renewable energy integration and eco-friendly mobility solutions to support the province’s vision of a cleaner and more sustainable future.

The Provincial Government has also met with representatives from Basic Energy Corporation (BEC) and Ecology Builders and Development Corporation (EBDC) here on 12 March 2025.

The meeting between Bataan and the BEC and EBDC focused on the proposal to implement an electric minibus system designed to offer modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly transportation for local commuters.

The electric bus systems aim to reduce the use of fossil fuels, and promote cleaner air and sustainable transit infrastructure in Bataan.

BEC’s EBDC will manage the assembly of the electric vehicles, and will be assembled locally to ensure the buses meet the local and international quality standards.
