DAVAO CITY — Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s daughter Veronica “Kitty” Duterte thanked supporters upon her visit to their family residence in Dona Luisa Phase 1, Ecoland.
“I would like to thank you for your support, we will continue to pray for FPRRD. Prayers and support are what my family needs. I would also like to thank supporters abroad who support FPRRD,” Kitty said on an interview posted at the Bombo Radyo Davao FB page.
She also told supporters to stay healthy and urge them to continue to support his father who is now detained at The Hague, Netherlands by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
“What FPRRD wants is to go home here in Davao. Babawi na lang tayo sa eleksyon,” she said.
FPRRD’s supporters continue to gather at their residence nightly since his detention at The Hague, offering prayer ceremonies and candle lighting as a peaceful expression of their support.
On the other hand, the office of First Congressional District Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte assisted families affected in the recent Talomo fire which happened Thursday, 21 March.
Rep. Duterte’s son, Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II led the distribution of packed lunch to 35 individuals and food packs, including big bottled waters, to 11 families temporarily staying at the covered court in the barangay.
Meanwhile, the Davao Drag Racers Association (DDRA) who successfully handled a three-day 1/8 mile drag racing activity, Sunday, 23 March will stage a Unity Ride on 28 March in support of FPRRD’s 80th birthday.
“We urge our members and other motorsport enthusiasts to join us as we celebrate FPRRD’s birthday. Through this, we support FPRRD who have bolstered our motor sport activities since then,” said DDRA’s Peter Sia who initiated the legal drag racing event held at the Ciudades Business Park.
Aside from the Unity Ride, Davao City’s musicians will also stage an FPRRD Concert and Rally at the San Pedro Square on 28 March.
