Globe Telecom Inc. has partnered with Gogolook, the TrustTech company behind the anti-scam app Whoscall, to offer its customers free access to Whoscall Premium Basic as it aims to strengthen digital security for users amid rising online scams.
Eric Tanbauco, officer-in-charge for Globe’s Consumer Mobile Business, said on Monday that the tie-up is part of the Ayala-backed company’s commitment to protecting customers from online threats, ensuring they can connect safely and confidently.
The free Whoscall Premium Basic access will be available to all active Globe Platinum, Postpaid, and Prepaid customers via Globe Rewards or Globe Rewards+ on the GlobeOne app, with activation instructions sent by SMS.
Globe Platinum customers will receive one year of free access, while Globe Postpaid and Prepaid users can redeem it through the Globe Rewards catalog until the end of August.
Whoscall features include a Caller ID for identifying incoming calls, a Web Checker to scan links for safety, and ID Security to monitor the Dark Web for leaks of personal information.
“With free access to Whoscall Premium Basic, Globe customers can enjoy additional features that make protecting their digital security easier,” Gogolook Philippines country head Mel Migriño said.
