Many were aghast when Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo visibly snubbed each other during the finale of the Bench Body of Work fashion show in Mall of Asia Arena recently.
In videos, which circulated on social media, it was increasingly apparent that they behaved as if each one was non-existent.
The two were just arms away on stage as Bench’s top honcho was the only one between them in one video but neither of them glanced at each other. While most celebrities on stage were in a celebratory mood, kissing and hugging each other, Bernardo and Richards, for some strange reason, chose not to even just greet each other.
Richards opened the fashion show clad in a black denim jumper with muscle sando as top and he skillfully strutted the runway as professional model would.
In the show’s finale, Bernardo, wearing a silvery bra top and white mini-skirt, displayed her catwalk skills with confidence, showing off her toned body.
Many were curious why Bernardo and Richards chose not to acknowledge each one’s presence in the fashion show.
“Anjan na sa harap mo, sa gilid mo pero bakit hindi man lang nilapitan ni Alden?” one guy lamented. (She’s already there in front of you, beside you, but why didn’t Alden come closer?).
“Nakakasad naman,” another guy said. (It’s so sad).
One offered an answer and said: “Nandyan Kasi mga kaibigan ni Daniel si Joshua at Kyle hahaha (Because Daniel’s friends Joshua and Kyle were there).”

Just like anyone other singer, Revival King Jojo Mendrez started his singing career by joining amateur singing competitions.
His initial music piece was Sharon Cuneta’s first major hit, Mr. DJ for which he won a consolation prize of P200.

Now, for the first time in his career, award-winning songwriter Jonathan Manalo penned a song tailored-fit for Mendrez, “Nandito Lang Ako.”
“Maganda ‘yung song. The first time narinig ko ‘yung demo noong song, sabi ko ito na ‘yung dream song ko. Sabi ko, kung magkakaroon ako ng first original song, gusto ko itong kantang ito (The song is beautiful. The first time I heard the demo of the song, I really liked it),” Mendrez said about the first original song he recorded.
He was totally impressed with the song that “wala pa ‘yung total arrangement ng song, the first time na marinig ko, sobrang ganda (Even when the total arrangement of the song wasn’t there, the first time I heard it, it’s so beautiful),” he said.
Sans enough sleep, Incognito star Richard Gutierrez immediately went to his youngest son Kai to celebrate his birthday.
Gutierrez came from a trip in the US with his eldest son Zion who participated in an event there.
Sharing photos with his son Kai on Instagram, Gutierrez wrote: “Zero sleep and still on East Coast time, but back in Manila in time for Kai’s 7th birthday. Wouldn’t miss his birthday for the world.”
Gutierrez continued his heartfelt message to his youngest son.
“To my youngest son whose infectious smile and limitless energy lights up every room, always remember that we love you. Keep being yourself and keep being awesome. Always protect your kind heart and good intentions. Dad will always have your back. I love you, Kai,” he added.
Gutierrez was praised by netizens for his dedication to his sons.
