First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos pledged support to strengthening legal knowledge and maritime security in the country after holding significant meetings and recognizing key partnerships supporting national development.
In a meeting with the Center for Liberty and Prosperity (CLP), the First First Lady lauded the organization’s efforts to empower Filipinos by promoting legal literacy and upholding the rule of law.
“Always a pleasure to catch up with the amazing minds behind the Center for Liberty and Prosperity. Grateful for the work you do in empowering more Filipinos through legal knowledge and the rule of law,” Mrs. Marcos wrote on her Instagram on Thursday following the meeting held at her office in Manila.
The CLP, known for its advocacy in judicial reforms and legal education, plays a crucial role in fostering a society where justice and prosperity go hand in hand.
The First Lady also met with top executives of DP World, a leading global logistics company, underscoring the Philippines’ position as a vital hub in international trade.
“Great catching up with the DP World executives here in Manila! It’s always good to see major players recognizing our country as a key business hub,” she said.
In addition, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Philippine Red Cross, Grab, and Starlink for their contributions to bolstering the Philippine Coast Guard’s (PCG) capacity to respond to emergencies.
Through their generous support, the PCG is now equipped with the M/V Amazing Grace, Barracuda inflatable boats and advanced communication devices, ensuring faster response times even in challenging conditions.
“Our @coastguardph is now even more ready to serve! A heartfelt thanks to our partners for helping our guardians at sea. Mabuhay ang ating Philippine Coast Guard!” she said.
