Freeport Area of Bataan —The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) has installed new solar streetlights within the Freeport.
AFAB Administrator and CEO Hussein Pangandaman led the inspection of the newly installed Integrated Solar and LED Streetlights along Zigzag Road to Mindanao Avenue this week.
This initiative is part of AFAB’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and ensure safer, more efficient road conditions within the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).
The Streetlight Installation Project, which began on 7 May of last year and was completed on 11 October, aims to improve visibility and enhance traffic flow along Zigzag Road.
A total of 34 sets of 120-watt solar LED lamps and 18 sets of 60-watt wired LED lights were installed, with 52 new poles providing stable support for the lighting system and electrical wiring. The project addresses the need for better illumination along this key access road, particularly in areas prone to low visibility at night and during adverse weather conditions. Jonas Reyes
