On its 15th year, Salcedo Auctions began its 2025 calendar with a well-attended vernissage for Manila’s who’s who that arrived to enjoy the evening and preview the sterling line-up in the auction house’s spacious gallery.
The 27 February vernissage was an auspicious lead-up to Salcedo Auctions’ highly successful 8 March live and online auction, which saw spirited bidding for the lots on offer, including the P44,384,000 paid by a collector for the most important painting from Fernando Zobel’s Icaro series, the first completed by the artist preceding another one that is now part of Ayala Museum’s permanent collection.
Leading personalities from the world of Philippine culture, fashion and design, as well as the country’s most established collectors, were present at the vernissage.
Salcedo Auctions aims to sustain the momentum as it gears up for its second major event, Finer Pursuits: Important Philippine Art & Rare Collectibles — a live and online auction on 14 June.
Exciting plans are in the pipeline as the auction house gathers what promises to be another spectacular line-up as part of its year-long celebration of 15 years as the country’s premiere auction house and arbiter of taste.
Consignments are being accepted for Salcedo Auctions’ Finer Pursuits: Important Philippine Art and Rare Collectibles live and online auction on Saturday, 14 June.
