The so-called "Malolos 100" — retried military and police officers in Bulacan that supported the now defunct Marcos Sara Duterte Alliance (MASADA) — regrouped and began on Monday night their prayer and candlelight rallies in the town of Malolos to pray for the release and safe return of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte (FPPRD) who is now detained at the International Criminal Court (ICC) holding facility in The Hague, Netherlands.
Bentio Ranque, co-convenor of a movement seeking the return of FPRRD told the DAILY TRIBUNE that the Malolos 100 will spearhead the peaceful prayer rallies in Bulacan, Rizal area to pray and seek divine intervention for the former President.
The Malolos 100 were original proponents of the Alyansa of Bongbong and Digong (ALDUB) in Central Luzon in the 2016 presidential election and the defunct Marcos Sara Duterte Alliance in the 2022 elections.
“The group chanted Ibalik Tatay Digong as they lighted candles” Ranque said adding that the newly-reactivated Mayor Sara Duterte Alliance will also hold seminar rallies in Central Luzon, Cagayan Valley and Bicol region.
He said for the last three straight nights, nightly prayer rallies have been spreading across Mindanao like wildfire, with people coming out of their homes to pray and light candles.
Manny Lumano, PDP president from the Caraga region said the mass gatherings are spreading like wildfire.
From Butuan City the vigils were held in towns across Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Maguindanao, Davao City, and even in the island province of Dinagat.
“People are coming out of their homes, including senior citizens holding candles,” he said.
