Darryl Yap kinasuhan ng cyberlibel

Nahaharap ngayon sa two counts ng cyberlibel case sa Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court ang direktor na si Darryl Yap na mayroong kaugnayan sa kaniyang kontrobersiyal na biopic movie tungkol sa yumaong sexy actress na si Pepsi Paloma.

Kinasuhan ng Office of the City Prosecutor ng Muntinlupa si Yap ng libel sa ilalim ng Article 353 at 355 ng Revised Penal Code, kaugnay ng paglabag sa Republic Act 10175 o Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

Nag-ugat ang mga kaso mula sa teaser ng naturang upcoming movie ni Yap na “The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma.”

Sa teaser na ipinalabas noong Enero 1, tinanong ng karakter ni Gina Alajar, na gumaganap bilang si Charito Solis, ang lead actress na gumaganap bilang si Pepsi Paloma, kung ginahasa siya ng actor-host na si Vic Sotto. Sumagot ang bida ng "oo."

Ayon sa city prosecutor, siniraan sa naturang eksena o teaser si Sotto.

“Thus, attributing or ascribing to the latter the commission of the crime against deceased actress Pepsi Paloma, or that said complainant was a rapist, thereby exposing the latter to public contempt, hatred, dishonor or ridicule or causing the latter’s reputation to be tarnished, to the damage and prejudice of said Marvic ‘Vic’ Sotto y Castelo.”

Inirekomenda ang piyansang P10,000 sa bawat bilang ng kaso.

Nitong nakaraang Enero, naghain si Sotto ng 19 counts of cyber libel sa Muntinlupa Office of the City Prosecutor laban kay Yap.
