P3.9-M worth of vape products seized in QC

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group of the Philippine National Police (PNP-CIDG) announced on Monday the arrest of six individuals for the illegal sale and distribution of vape products in Quezon City.

The suspects, identified by their aliases "Seb," "Mon," "Genevieve," "Rorem," "Kenneth," and "Pahrysz," were apprehended on 12 March in Barangay Bagbag and Roxas District.

Authorities seized vape products worth P3.9 million, which were being sold without the necessary permits.

The arrested individuals face multiple charges, including violations of Republic Act 11900 (Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act), Republic Act 10643 (Graphic Health Warnings Law), and Republic Act 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).

They are also charged under Republic Act 7394 (Consumer Act of the Philippines) for the illegal sale and online distribution of unregistered vape products, as well as for failing to display required health warnings.
