Aurora emerged victorious in the battle of fan favorites following a 2-1 win over TNC Pro Team on Week 3, Day 3 of MPL Season 13 this Sunday evening at Green Sun Hotel in Makati.
The most anticipated matchup of the regular season highlighted the battle of ex-teammates and roamers Renejay and Yawi. Aurora secured its fifth straight win to maintain a perfect 5-0 record.
"I think Yawi will be back. TNC is just a new team, and yet they were able to hang with us," Renejay told the Daily Tribune after the match.
"I am more excited for the next round. I am not satisfied yet because I have a slight advantage because of my team."
While Renejay has nothing but praise for Yawi before and after the match, he is confident that he will beat Yawi again in the second half of the regular season.
"I was able to crash Yawi now. I will crash him again in the next round," Renejay quipped.
