Broadway stars Eva Noblezada and Reeve Carney announced their engagement at a 14 March performance at The Green Room 42 in New York City. There, Noblezada showed off her engagement ring and called Carney’s mother, Marti Heil, “my future mother-in-law.”
Noblezada and Carney are best known for originating the roles of Eurydice and Orpheus in Hadestown, both in London’s National Theatre production and the Tony-winning Broadway premiere. They earned a Grammy Award together for Best Musical Theater Album in 2020 for the show’s Original Broadway Cast Recording, and recently reprised their performances in the West End alongside fellow original cast members André De Shields, Amber Gray, and Patrick Page.
Noblezada, a two-time Tony nominee for Miss Saigon and Hadestown, recently concluded her run as Daisy in The Great Gatsby and will next appear as Sally Bowles in Cabaret starting 31 March. \
Carney originated the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark and has appeared on screen as Dorian Gray in Penny Dreadful and Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do The Time Warp Again.
