Stallion ready for Women’s League

Stallion Laguna FC looks to build on last year’s success as they compete in the PFF Women’s Football League.

Stallion goalkeeper Olivia McDaniel told DAILY TRIBUNE that with the Women’s Football League featuring a double-round robin format, they need to make every game count.

The six-team tournament will start on 22 March at the Mall of Asia Football Pitch.

“I think it was really fast-paced with the cup last year so I think something that we’re really going to take from that is just take it game by game and if things don’t go your way there’s always another game coming up next,” McDaniel said.

“So I think we just need to make sure we stay positive, we stay in the battle, and just keep rolling through and keep getting those wins.”

Stallion made heads turn last year after capturing the PFF Women’s Cup after a 1-0 upset over Kaya FC-Iloilo.

Now, the Stallions look to add another title in their collection while also securing a spot for the AFC Women’s Champions League.

Striker Chandler McDaniel said fans can expect Stallion to field a formidable squad just like how they did in the Women’s Cup.

“We’ve lost some players, gained some players but still have some of the same so when our Instagram drops the new players you’ll see,” McDaniel said.

“Definitely expect some new faces, some new familiar faces.”
