Rhian Ramos is set to redefine the concept of a “kontrabida” (villain) with her highly anticipated role in GMA’s Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre.

Stepping into the shoes of Mitena, the cursed twin of Cassiopea, she is poised to unleash an “ice queen” that will disrupt and darken the world of Encantadia.

“Si Mitena, she is an ice queen. Siguro, may ini-expect na ‘yung mga tao kung ano ‘yung makikita nila lalo na at kontrabida ako rito. Pero ang sasabihin ko lang, expect the unexpected kasi iibahin namin ang atake rito (Maybe people expect it to be the same kind of thing they always see. All I can say is watch out for the unexpected. We will approach this in a different way),” Ramos revealed in a recent interview with GMA News.

It’s clear that she is taking on a character with significant depth and complexity. “Ibang klaseng dark character, napakalalim (It’s a different kind of darkness, so deep). Actually, it’s a very beautiful role,” she added, emphasizing that this is no ordinary dark character. “A different kind of dark character, very deep. Actually, it’s a very beautiful role.”

Rhian Ramos has an adventurous soul.

This statement highlights that her portrayal of Mitena will go beyond typical villainous tropes, offering a nuanced and compelling performance. Fans can anticipate a character driven by intricate motivations and a layered backstory.

Ramos will be joining the new generation of Sang’gres: Bianca Umali as Terra, Kelvin Miranda as Adamus, Faith Da Silva as Flamarra and Angel Guardian as Deia. The anticipation is high as viewers eagerly await the clash between Mitena and the new Sang’gres.

Adding to her current projects, Rhian is also actively promoting the film, Sinagtala, where she stars alongside Arci Muñoz, Glaiza de Castro, Matt Lozano and Rayver Cruz, set to release on 2 April. This showcases Rhian’s versatility, as she balances her film commitments with her upcoming television role.

As Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre prepares to grace screens on GMA Prime, audiences can brace themselves for a captivating performance from Rhian Ramos, who is set to deliver a villain unlike any other.
