Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth T. Lucas, Regional Director of Police Regional Office Calabarzon (PRO Calabarzon), was awarded the prestigious Gawad Dakilang Lakan Award as the Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) for Operations during the 45th Grand Alumni Homecoming of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) held today at Camp General Mariano Castañeda, Silang, Cavite.

The award recognizes PBGen Lucas’ exemplary leadership and operational efficiency, which have strengthened peace and security in the region. Under his command, PRO Calabarzon has made significant strides in improving crime response, increasing police visibility, and fostering community engagement through innovative policing programs.

PBGen Lucas credited the success to the collective effort of his team.

“This award is not mine alone — it reflects the hard work, dedication, and unity of the empowered men and women of PNP Calabarzon,” Lucas said. “Every operation we conduct, every crime we solve, and every community we protect is a result of teamwork and shared commitment to serve and protect. I am proud to lead such an exceptional team.”

Lucas’ leadership has also been marked by aggressive yet strategic operations targeting illegal drugs, illegal gambling, and other criminal activities, leading to a safer and more secure environment for communities in the region.

The Gawad Dakilang Lakan is one of the highest honors awarded to police officers who demonstrate outstanding service, integrity, and commitment to their sworn duty.
