Alyssa Solomon has opted to forgo the 2025 Korean Volleyball Federation (KOVO) Draft, ensuring her eligibility to compete for National University (NU) in the ongoing University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 87 Women's Volleyball Tournament.

The UAAP Season 86 Finals MVP withdrew last Thursday to comply with the league’s amateurism rule, which bars student-athletes from joining professional drafts during an active season.

Originally part of the 143-player pool for the Korean V-League Draft, Solomon made the call after NU officials raised eligibility concerns. Despite the distraction, she led the Lady Bulldogs to a dominant win over Adamson last Wednesday, scoring 22 points to keep their record flawless at 6-0.

Solomon’s decision keeps NU’s title defense on track as they gear up for a crucial rematch against the University of Santo Tomas (UST) on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
