Former Governor Luis 'Chavit' Singson denied Thursday afternoon that he was in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a hospital.
In a statement released on social media, Singson said, “I am in Singapore right now, where I brought my plane to have its engine replaced with a brand new one.”
He said he will fly back to Manila tonight, then to Vigan tomorrow, where he will hold a press conference to prove that he is not confined to the ICU, contrary to the rumors spread by an unidentified person.
“I am as strong as a carabao; the one spreading the news that I am in the ICU is a liar,” Singson said while apparently sitting behind an escalator in a mall in Singapore.
He said that aside from replacing the old engine of his plane, he will also do some shopping in Singapore.
“Do not believe this person issuing untrue reports that I am in the ICU; he will be the one to get sick,” Singson said.
He said this is why he did not pursue running for senator, adding that he can always extend help to the needy and transport groups without any strings attached.
He said he will continue providing electric jeepneys and tricycles, along with granting VBank accounts, particularly to overseas Filipino workers, “so that they can immediately transmit their money to their families.”
Singson assured that all his pre-election promises will be fulfilled, so as not to give political color to his actions.
“In fact, the equipment and machinery to be used in manufacturing EVs have arrived in Batangas,” Singson said.
