‘Druggie’ waiter collared

Authorities arrested a drug suspect in a buy-bust operation conducted in Taguig City, leading to the confiscation of approximately 31.2 grams of suspected shabu worth P212,160.

The operation took place at 9 p.m. on 11 March 2025, along Locust Street, Barangay Rizal, Taguig City, and was carried out by elements of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Taguig City Police Station.

Police identified the arrested suspect as alias “Kyle,” a waiter who yielded approximately 31.2 grams of shabu, buy-bust money, boodle money, a weighing scale, a coin purse and one bundle of empty small plastic sachets.

Meanwhile, the seized evidence has been submitted to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for laboratory analysis.

A formal complaint for violations of Sections 11 and 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) is being prepared against the suspect for submission to the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.

The relentless operation was conducted as District Director, SPD, PBGEN Manuel J. Abrugena, goes hard with the anti-criminality and drug campaign with direct supervision of P/Col. Joey T. Goforth, Chief of Police, Taguig City Police Station.

Abrugena lauded the members of the operating team for their dedication and commitment to the fight against illegal drugs.

“This successful operation reflects our continuous efforts to eliminate illegal substances from our communities. We will remain proactive in our anti-drug operations to ensure the safety and well-being of our citizens,” Abrugena said.
