Repairs to be conducted on Manila roads until 30 March

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) advised motorists of potential traffic slowdowns on some roads in Manila due to asphalt overlaying.

The DPWH-South Manila District Engineering Office will conduct asphalt overlaying activities on the northbound and southbound portions of Maria Orosa Street in Malate, which will take place every weekend until 30 March.

According to the DPWH, the repairs will be done one lane at a time, requiring partial closure of the affected portions. Once fully completed, the closed portions of the affected lanes will be passable to motorists the following day.

The asphalt overlaying activities will be carried out from March 14 to 16, 21 to 23, and 28 to 30 over the weekends to minimize disruptions in traffic flow.

Motorists are encouraged to utilize other lanes as alternative routes.

The project is part of DPWH-National Capital Region's commitment to enhancing road safety and efficiency in Manila.
