The Philippines capped its campaign in the WPC Asia Pickleball Open Championships with 15 medals in Pattaya, Thailand.
Patricia Raymundo led the charge, pocketing three gold medals after winning the 19+ women’s singles 4.5 category, the 19+ women’s doubles advanced with Medelene Ramos-Saraza, and the 19+ mixed doubles advanced 4.5 with Ken Unique dela Cruz.
Kim Sazara and Anna Clarice Patrimonio added two gold medals for the Filipino picklers after winning the 19+ men’s singles advanced 4.5 and 19+ women’s singles open 5.0, respectively.
Dino Jimenez bagged a silver medal in the 35+ Men’s Singles Advanced 4.5 while Francia Wise also picked up a silver medal in 50+ women’s doubles intermediate 3.5 with Thai pickler Sareerarat Porapakkham.
Bambi Zoleta clinched three medals after snagging as silver medal in the 19+ women’s doubles advanced 4.5 with Sarah Cable of Thailand while also grabbing two bronze medals in the 19+ mixed doubles advanced 4.5 with CJ Luna and in the 19+ women’s doubles open 5.0 with Thai pickler Suparat Baebdee.
Bien Zoleta and Grace Woo plucked two medals in the Thai tilt, bagging a silver medal in the 35+ women’s doubles advanced 4.5 while taking the bronze medal of the 35+ women’s doubles open 5.0.
Jenny Pearl Gayares took two bronze medals after competing in the 35+ women’s singles intermediate 3.5 and the 19+ Women’s Doubles Intermediate 3.5 with Chloe Saraza.
The competition ran from 4 to 9 March at the Greta Resort And Sport Club in Pattaya.
