Geneva Cruz is set to ignite the Music Museum with her highly-anticipated concert series, Gen Evolution. This two-night extravaganza, happening on 4 and 5 April, marks not only her birth month celebration but also her remarkable 35th year in the entertainment industry.

With a thriving career encompassing singing, acting, endorsements and a fulfilling personal life, Cruz has much to celebrate. “This has always been part of my bucket list,” she confesses, eager to reconnect with both longtime fans and a new generation. Directed by her friend and former Smokey Mountain bandmate, Jeffrey Hidalgo, “Gen Evolution” promises a dynamic showcase of her musical journey, featuring special appearances from industry colleagues.

More than a mere retrospective, the concert will be a vibrant journey through the soundtrack of her times. Geneva aims to reintroduce the magic of the analog age, the post-New Wave era, and the golden age of OPM to a younger audience. “It’s a good story to share,” she explains, hoping to ignite an appreciation for the artistry of songwriting and prose, elements she feels are often overlooked today. “And since this happens shortly after my birthday, I want it to be a big party where I can celebrate with friends and fans alike.”

From the sweet child prodigy of Smokey Mountain to the electrifying live performer she is today, Geneva has evolved into a powerhouse reminiscent of icons like Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Gloria Estefan and Miley Cyrus. Beyond her musical prowess, she stands as a beacon of women empowerment.

A fitness enthusiast, she defies age with her stunning physique and positive mindset. As a dedicated patriot and Philippine Air Force reservist, holding the rank of sergeant, she actively participates in medical missions, environmental initiatives and community outreach.

Cruz’s social media platforms serve as a testament to her “never say never” attitude, inspiring others to embrace challenges. From taking swimming lessons to completing her first triathlon, she embodies resilience and determination. She even rekindled her songwriting passion, composing her first Christmas song, “When Christmas Comes,” last year, a talent she nurtured since the age of 15.

“Writing has always been an outlet of mine,” she shares, revealing her contributions to past albums with songs like “Love Can Wait” and “Peace.”

Her longtime manager, Arnold Vegafria, praises her ability to reinvent herself and remain relevant in a constantly evolving industry. “Even as a young girl, she was always fierce. She was a fighter,” he says. “It’s amazing how even up to now, such a mindset has led her to accomplishing so many things.”

Gen Evolution, produced by ALV Events International and ALV Talent Circuit, with Nikko Rivera as musical director, promises to be a spectacular celebration of Cruz’s enduring legacy.
