Another member of the national women’s football team suited up overseas as midfielder Carleigh Frilles formalized her inclusion on the DC Power FC roster in the USL Super League in the United States.

DC Power sporting director Steven Birnbaum said they can’t wait to have the 22-year-old Frilles in their ranks as they eye a spot in the playoffs.

Frilles was in the Philippines last month for the Filipinas’ nine-day training camp.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Carleigh to the District. Her extensive experience at the national team level and technical ability aligns well with our club’s on-field philosophy,” Birnbaum said.

“She will bolster our roster as we make a push for the playoffs this season.”

DC Power is currently eighth in the league table with a 3-5-8 win-draw-loss record.

Frilles is set to link up with Filipinas teammate Katrina Guillou as they aim for the top four to enter the semifinals of the prestigious American women’s club league.

During her time with the Filipinas, Frilles netted 12 goals in 37 matches.

Frilles made her debut for DC Power last Monday in their 1-2 loss against Lexington SC at the Audi Field in Washington as she replaced Madison Wolfbauer in the 46th minute.
